About The Event
Calling all ladies with a sense of adventure!
After its inaugeral race in 2009, the RORC Caribbean 600 became a permanent fixture on the RORC calender. This race is set to become one of the worldwide classic offshore races, like the Fastnet and the Sydney Hobart billed as being one of the 'must-do' races on the offshore calendar.
The RORC Caribbean 600 is designed as a challenging offshore yacht race - only one of the rounding marks is not an island; the North Sails mark, off the South West tip of Barbuda. It should be a scenic and exciting race for every single participant.
The race begins in Fort Charlotte, just outside English Harbour in Antigua. Heading north, the fleet will pass a mark off Barbuda, Nevis, Saba and St Barth's before circling St Maarten and heading south for Guadeloupe. Finally you will head back north to a mark off Barbuda, returning to Antigua for the finish.
Our professional crew will train you to ensure that the racing is safe, fun and that each crew member is able to make a valuable contribution to the team effort. Although prior race experience is preferred, it is not essential. However this race is not to be underestimated. This is no relaxing cruise!
The 3 training days represent a great opportunity for each crew member to get familiar with the yacht and the racing manoeuvres.
