About The Event

Nothing is more important than your family and this is the ideal time to get away from it all and spend time with them.  Once you are out on the water you will be energised by the complete freedom of sailing.  These events are ideal for everyone from beginners to experienced sailors who just want to have fun, you will return home completely rejuvenated and happy!

It is all about spending quality time and having fun with family.  There are no age restrictions.

What do you get to do?

For this event we get everyone to participate in the sailing, regardless of experience, we want you, your daughters/mothers and your new friends on board to bond and get the chance to cruise around the south coast of England.

Your skipper is RYA qualified and you can take advantage of her knowledge, either learning the basics of sailing including wind awareness, parts of the boat and of course how to sail it or concentrate on particular areas you wish to practice.  You can be as involved as you wish, whether taking the helm, changing a sail, pulling on a few sheets or simply sitting back and enjoying the atmosphere.

We will gently cruise around the quaint and lively parts of the south coast taking in the atmosphere (and sampling the tasty treats like fish and chips or ice cream!)

Day 1

Welcome - You'll be greeted by our skipper and a hot drinks! After everyone has turned up and had a chance to introduce themselves, you'll head to the boat for the grand tour before heading a safety brief before getting ready to leave our home marina for a fantastic week of sailing. Heading out over the Solent and further, you all get the chance to practice your sailing techniques or learn some new tips and tricks from our friendly skipper. After a long day of sailing, you can all relax in your new home and can chat whilst you plan where you'll head out for dinner tonight!

Day 2

As the sun shines, you'll be able to sit ondeck having warm mugs of tea or coffee, you can chat with your skipper about where you would all like to head next, she'll be happy to get your help in planning a passage to a variety of quaint little ports along the coast. After today there's a quick trip ashore maybe we could have some tasty fish and chips tonight !

Day 3

Wow look at how far you girls have travelled! Fantastic!! 'Team work makes the Dream work!' We'll be making sure you girls are happy and able to work on those sailing skills again today, maybe we'll do a man overboard or work on those knots, our skipper can teach you some really useful ones!

Day 4

We'll start heading back towards the Isle of Wight, but leisurely! Let's relax, this is holiday after all.  You'll get a chance to see other boats sailing throughout this week, who knows you may even recognise people after a few days! As we head back, we'll test those skills learnt throughout the week, maybe have a competition to see who's the best at helming, or who makes the best cup of tea?

Day 5 - Last Day!

Sadly it's your last day with us, but fear not! we'll be doing a fun full day of sailing before you have to head off around 4pm, we'll sail around the Solent and head back to Shepards Wharf- where you can hug your new best friends goodbye and swap contact details!
