About The Event

Wanting to sail to Caribbean Islands and relax on remote sandy beaches as well as explore places you can only get to by boat! Well this is the Cruise for you!

A 10 day trip off the beaten track during which we travel from St Lucia to the luscious Caribbean Islands of the Grenadines, Bequia, Mustique and Tobago Quays, including Union Island.

We sail to the exclusive island of Mustique where you can relax on its exquisite white beaches or sip cocktails at the famous Cotton House Hotel where you may even spot Mick Jagger or Bryan Adams!

We venture to the remote sandy islands of Tobago Quays that are uninhabited except for the sea turtles, iguanas and palm trees! Here we crack open coconuts and swim in the crystal clear waters with the inquisitive turtles! This is another of our chief Instructors favourite spots!

We always try to stop off at Union Island for its chilled out atmosphere, good food and little boutique shops. It’s a famous kite surfing spot so even if you don’t want to take part in the sport, it has fantastic beaches for you to chill out at and watch!

As well as these islands we always have to pay a visit to Bequia! It’s a very traditional Caribbean island, full of colour and vibrancy! Take time to explore it’s streets as well as stroll along some of the most beautiful beaches and translucent waters you will see!

Not only do you get to explore these islands but each one we sail to by boat! It doesn’t get much better than that as you see the island loom before you, once you drop anchor you hail the local lad in his boat for a taxi ride ashore or swim to the beach and spend the rest of the day totally relaxing.

For this event we meet you in Rodney bay St Lucia and the first sail is the longest stretch as you sail down the coast of St.Lucia, past St.Vincent and stop overnight in Bequia. We have a mate onboard so you can do as little or as much sailing as you like! Once you leave Bequia it is only a few hours sail each day to the other islands close by! The last night is spent under the impressive shadow of the Pitons in St.Lucia.

Our Chief Instructor has sailed this cruise many times and always gets excited about it! It truly is exquisite. ‘I’ve now seen places I had only ever seen on postcards or in glossy magazines before, this crusie combines my love of sailing and exploring remote places that I could only dream of. I have memories from it that will last forever’.

Take advantage of our early Bird or bring your friend offer, contact us to find out more!

Your skipper is RYA qualified and you can take advantage of her knowledge, either learning the basics of sailing, wind awareness, parts of the boat and of course how to sail it or concentrating on particular areas you wish to practice! You can be as involved as you wish, whether taking the helm, changing a sail, pulling on a few sheets or simply sitting back and enjoying the (hopefully) great weather! Whatever we do we ensure you'll be safe and have fun.

Pre-Course Requirements

As this trip is made up of island hops, it will take you out into the open ocean. Therefore we recommend having at least some sailing experience before you join us for this sail. Please contact us if you would like more information or to chat about it with our Chief Instructor

The boat

We mostly coach on yachts of between 37 and 41ft. Our yachts have been specifically chosen as they are easy to handle, great for learning! There is no denying us girls sometimes don't have the physical strength of the boys but with our technical ability and a well-chosen yacht we can do just as well. You will usually find yourself aboard an Élan 37, Jeanneau 37 or a Beneteau 40.7. All of your time will be spent living as crew-mates on your yacht.  Most of the yachts have 9/10 berths with 3 cabins and a saloon so the boats will normally have 2 persons in each cabin i.e. 6 - this is always the case for an RYA course, MAX 6 persons on-board. On some events e.g. races we use the saloon which can sleep an additional 2-4 person.
